About Olga
Olga has been an avid photographer since she purchased her first Canon SLR film camera in 1996. Not surprisingly, the camera purchase was linked to her first great travel adventure, an 8 week summer backpacking trip across Western Europe. That’s when Olga realized that her life will never be complete without exploring the world and bringing the memories home. In 2003 she switched to digital photography, which helped propel her technical skill to a new level, using a combination of a brief university photography course, self-study online and peer critique.
In the past 14 years Olga visited more than 50 countries on 4 continents, recording images of her travels and portraits of people she met along the way. She and her husband Edward live an active life sprinkled with photo opportunities while hiking, scuba-diving, kayaking and skiing.
Encouraged by demand from friends and colleagues, Olga recently started undertaking family, engagement and wedding photography projects. While she is skilled in formal portrait posing, she prefers watching her photographic subjects interact naturally and capture real emotions and feelings, rather than stage them.
Olga was born and raised in Moscow, Russia, and educated in Washington D.C. and Cambridge, MA. She is pursuing a successful full time career in international marketing and is currently based in Dallas, TX.
